Solid Theory

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 9 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to personal information in connection with the website at solidtheory.online. The entity responsible for that website is ISWORK s.r.o., Na Kozačce 1103/5, Vinohrady, 120 00 Praha 2, Czech Republic, company registration 24663158, VAT number CZ24663158, contactable at info@solidtheory.online. Where this policy says "we", it means ISWORK s.r.o.

Personal information in connection with this website is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which are published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles.

This policy covers solidtheory.online and nothing else. Any site you reach by following a link from here, including the affiliate destination at price-low.eu and any game vendor's own site, is operated by someone else and has its own privacy policy. You should read theirs before giving them anything.

The rest of this page walks through the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles in order, saying what each one means on this particular site, and then deals with the matters that do not sit under a single principle.

APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information

This page is the whole of our practice. It is published without a login, linked from the footer of every page on the site, and written to be read rather than skimmed. Our contact address for any privacy matter is info@solidtheory.online, and the postal address is the one at the top of this page.

Only two kinds of personal information arise here, and they are described under APP 3 and APP 5.

APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity

You can read every page of this site, including the whole course and the checklists, without identifying yourself. We do not ask who you are and have no way to find out.

If you email us, you may use a pseudonymous address and need not give a real name. The one exception is a request for access to or correction of personal information under APP 12 or APP 13: there we may need enough information to be satisfied that the records concerned are yours, since handing someone else's correspondence to the wrong person would itself be a privacy failure.

APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information

Two categories of information arise, and that is the complete list.

(a) Server access logs. Our hosting provider records a standard log entry for each request to the site: the IP address making the request, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page where your browser sends one, and the user-agent string identifying the browser and operating system. These are generated by the web server, not by anything in the pages.

(b) The content of emails sent to us. If you write to info@solidtheory.online, we hold your email address, any name you choose to give, the text of your message and any attachment you send.

(c) Nothing else is collected. This site has no forms, no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter, no progress tracking, no quiz and no chat. It sets no cookies and uses no web storage. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags, no profiling and no cross-site tracking. It loads no web fonts, no scripts and no content from any other server, so visiting a page here causes your browser to request nothing from anybody but our own host.

APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information

Occasionally an email contains personal information we did not ask for and do not need in order to reply — details about a third party, for instance, or documents attached by mistake. Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, we delete that material rather than keep it.

APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information

This page is the notification. It names the entity collecting the information, lists what is collected, says why, says how long it is kept, names the recipients, and explains how to seek access or make a complaint. Nothing is collected by a route this page does not describe.

APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information

Access logs are used to keep the site running securely, to detect and prevent abuse of the server, and to diagnose faults. Email is used to reply to you and to deal with the matter you raised.

Neither category is used for anything else. We do not sell, rent, trade or share personal information for marketing, and we do not build profiles of readers. Disclosure to a public authority happens only where the law requires it or authorises it in a way we are obliged to follow.

APP 7 — Direct marketing

We do not carry out direct marketing of any kind through this site. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no sequence of course reminders, and we will not use an address you write from to send you anything other than a reply.

APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information

Two service providers handle this information. Our hosting provider holds the access logs. Our email service provider holds the mailbox. We are not naming them here because we are not in a position to make a durable statement about which company or which facility is involved at any given time.

What we can say plainly is that both may store or process data outside Australia, and that the location may be outside Australia. Our own operations are in the Czech Republic, so correspondence is in practice read in the European Union.

APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers

This principle has almost no application here. We do not adopt, use or disclose any government related identifier, such as a tax file number, Medicare number or driver licence number. We never ask for one, and you should not send one to us.

APP 10 — Quality of personal information

The information we hold is limited to what a server logged and what you yourself wrote to us, so the question of accuracy mostly resolves itself. If something in our correspondence about you is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

APP 11 — Security of personal information

The site is served over HTTPS. There is no database, no form handler and no stored submission of any kind, because nothing on the site submits anything. The hosting account and the mailbox are reachable only by people working for ISWORK s.r.o., and access is limited to those who need it to do the work described here.

Information is destroyed or de-identified when the retention period below has passed and it is no longer needed. We make no claim to hold any certification or to comply with any standard beyond what is stated on this page.

Purposes and retention, in one place

What is held, why, and for how long
CategoryPurposeRetention
Server access logsSecurity, abuse prevention, fault diagnosis30 days
Email correspondenceReplying to you24 months after the last message in the conversation, unless it is needed for a legal claim

APP 12 — Access to personal information

You may ask what personal information we hold about you. Email info@solidtheory.online with Privacy request in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request. We reply within 30 days. If we cannot give you access, we will tell you why in writing.

Because logs are kept for a short period and are not indexed by person, a request about log data will usually only be answerable for the current retention window, and only where you can identify the IP address concerned.

APP 13 — Correction of personal information

If information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, ask us to correct it using the same address and subject line. We correct it, or explain in writing why we have not, within the same 30 days.

Affiliate links and what happens when you click one

Some links on this site are paid affiliate links, as described on our Affiliate Disclosure page. Following one takes you off solidtheory.online. From that point, the destination site, the game vendor Crossout and the affiliate network that operates the link may use cookies or similar technology on their own domains to record that the visit came from here. Those technologies are set by them, on their sites, under their own policies, and we neither control nor have access to them.

We receive commission reports from the affiliate network. We use them only to reconcile what is owed to us, and we do not seek, request or want information that would identify individual readers.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled personal information, write to info@solidtheory.online first. We will answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with that answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The OAIC explains the process at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.

Data breaches

If we have reason to think personal information has been lost, accessed without authorisation or disclosed without authorisation, we assess what has happened promptly. Where the incident is likely to result in serious harm, we notify the people affected and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Children

This site is not directed at people under 16. We do not knowingly collect anything that would identify a child, and since there is no form, no account and no sign-up here, there is no route by which a child could submit personal information to us other than by sending an email.

If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom

ISWORK s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to our handling of personal data in addition to everything above.

Our legal basis for server access logs is our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and working. Our legal basis for handling email is responding to the enquiry you have made. There is no consent basis anywhere in this policy, because there are no cookies and no other processing that would require consent.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, exercisable at info@solidtheory.online. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz.

Changes to this policy

When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. Where a change materially affects how personal information is handled, a note saying so appears at the top of this page for 30 days.
