Affiliate Disclosure
Effective date: 9 October 2026
Solid Theory is free to read and carries no advertising. It is paid for by affiliate commission, and this page explains exactly how that works so you can weigh what you read here accordingly.
The arrangement
Some links on this site go to a game vendor through an affiliate network. If you follow one of those links and then create an account at the destination, ISWORK s.r.o. may be paid a commission by the affiliate network that operates the link. The amount is set by the network, not by us.
Commission is paid for a completed registration — on this arrangement, creating an account, confirming the email address and logging in to the game. It is not a share of anything you later spend, and we are not paid more if you buy something inside a game. We receive summary reports from the network for reconciling payment, and we do not seek information that would identify individual readers.
The price is the same for you either way. Following a paid link costs you nothing, does not change what the vendor charges, and gives you no worse terms than reaching the same site directly.
Where the paid links are
There are four of them, and they all go to the same destination:
- On the homepage, in the section explaining where a specific game appears in the course.
- In Step 1, in the worked example of reading a store page.
- In Step 3, in the worked example of registering an account.
- In Step 4, where the vendor's description is checked for what it does and does not say about purchases.
Each one carries a line of disclosure immediately beside it, so you never have to remember which links are paid. They are ordinary links: the address you see in the status bar is the address you go to, there is no redirect through this site, and nothing is rewritten when you click. They open in a new tab and are marked as sponsored so that search engines treat them correctly.
Every other external link on this site — the Australian Classification Board, the ACCC, Scamwatch, the ACSC, the eSafety Commissioner and the OAIC — is unpaid. Nobody pays us to link to a government body, and nobody could.
What decides the content
Commission does not decide what the course says. What decides it is the order in which the questions come up for a beginner, and the rule that a claim is either sourced, written as general guidance, or left out.
What commission does decide is honestly narrower and worth stating: it is why one particular game is the worked example rather than one of the many others that would have served equally well. The choice of example is commercial. The treatment of it is not — which is why Step 4 says plainly that the vendor's description does not state what in-game purchases exist, instead of inventing something that would read better.
The test we apply is whether the course survives the removal of every paid link. It does. All five steps and all six checklists work from beginning to end without following one, and nothing on this site is behind a payment.
What this site is not
Solid Theory is not an official source for any game. It is not a reseller, an authorised partner, an agent or a distributor, and it has not been endorsed, sponsored or reviewed by any game publisher. It does not sell anything, does not take payments and has no account system.
All brand names on Solid Theory, Crossout among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Solid Theory, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.
Your information
Following an affiliate link takes you off this site. From that point the destination and the affiliate network may use cookies or similar technology on their own domains to record the referral, under their own policies. This site itself sets nothing, as the Cookie Policy sets out, and the Privacy Policy describes the whole of what we hold.
More on how the course is made
The editorial method — how the steps were structured, what each one draws on, how claims are handled and how often the course is reviewed — is set out on the About page. If anything on this page and that one appears to conflict, write to info@solidtheory.online and we will fix it.
